What If....

It's something we sometimes constantly ask ourselves, what if I didn't do that? What if I did that? etc etc etc.

It's the 'what if's' that we, as writers, use a lot. Sometimes we read a newspaper article and think 'what if' and then a story idea develops, characters come to life and a story is created. We create a scenario that could be out of left field. We may create a new world if we write fantasy/paranormal. We weave our story and the reader never knows that the story they are enjoying came from asking a simple 'what if' question.

Sometimes those 'what ifs' are the best things that happen in our lives.

So I say embrace the 'what ifs' in life because you never know where that 'what if' is going to take you.

I love the 'what if' game. It's usually followed by 'why?' when I'm writing.

Most of my regrets are for the things I haven't done and not for the things I've done.
