2) No matter how fun and exciting the new story is, anything
with a deadline comes first.
3) Waiting to hear back from my editor(s) on a submission is
still nerve racking.
4) Some books are easy, some books are hard work. But the
end result of seeing my name on the cover is totally worth it.
What have you learned about your writing this year?

I've learned:
1. I'm so fortunate to belong to such a supportive critique group who are my friends as well as fellow writers.
2. Writing is a creative process and I need to write more to get the story flowing rather than think more about what I want to write.
3. Requests from editors and agents are gold and must be delivered.
4. I want to write more and need to give it more time in my life.
Merry Christmas, everyone.
I've learnt this year:
1. My family is amazing (I keep being surprised by how wonderful they are and how much support they give).
2. Friends are important and worth any effort.
3. I don't need to be the next JK Rowling - it is more important that I do what I love and that at least one other person enjoys the story.
4. I'm a good teacher.
